loved music in the 60,s lost interest in the 70's the early 80's got more interesting than became a JW and cratered out on music for 25 yrs

is it a bad idea for me to invite a lady that i just met at wal mart to my home?

i have never have invited ladies that fast especially from the store to my home, but i wonder if i should have invited her right away???

i was waiting at the line and there was a gorgeous lady, she said hi first to me.

I think to keep it cool and unthreatening for both of you ask her to lunch at some nearby place to where she works and then decide your next move.

I loathe the organization.

the individuals mixed emotions depends on how much they adhere to the doctrine.

I guess I don't know what to feel, I'm still trying to figure that out.

Disfellowshipped.... a question

so... if there's anyone from bethel or an elder who could comment on this question i would appreciate it.

i am beyond understanding this..... my sister's daughter - (my neice - not a jw) is getting married to a young man (not a jw) in a few weeks.. her dad is df'd - so is our brother.. apparently my other sister and her "elder" husband can attend the wedding if the bride's df'd father is in attendance but not if her df'd uncle (our brother) is there.. please.... i just don't get it!!!!

there's df'd and then more df'd????

I don't think you understood what I was saying. I was remembering 50 yrs ago & comparing racism in the north & how I perceived it to be different than the south neither is ok. The reason for the story was the difference the southern boys yelled out racist remarks the northern girls became afraid due to fear. both were products of their lives.

I will never fully understand the black experience just as someone who was never a jw will ever really understand that experience or one raised in it as opposed to those who came in as adults. We all have our lives as they are and hopefully we learn to understand each other and give each other a little breathing room. We try to do the best we can even with all our personal issues.

I just thought of something else I had a friend who told me about an incident she and her friend had in alabama at the coast. they were teens and met some local boys and went for a drive they were on a bridge where some black men were fishing. the boys with them began yelling racist remarks at the men and she told me that they got real scared and ducked down in the back seat because they thought the black men would come over and kill them over what was being said. It showed how different the attitudes were north/south.

I hadn't thought about this stuff for years.
